BIO AND BACKGROUND

After acquiring a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1993 from the University of Wisconsin and completing additional graduate studies, Allana Lavenue moved to Boulder, Colorado and fell into a successful decade-long career in high-tech software and imaging sales and management.  Taking on multiple remodeling and interior design projects on the side, Allana decided to take her fondness for contemporary interior design and sustainable living back to the classroom and received a second bachelor's degree in Interior Design with an emphasis on sustainable design (Green Design emphasis) from the accredited program at Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, graduating Magna Cum Laude and presiding as President of the Student Chapter of ASID (American Society of Interior Designers).  Since then, Allana has had experience working with multiple award-winning architecture and design firms, showrooms, and builders including OZ Architecture, the architects at Prospect New Town, Eco-Products, Meritage Homes, and Wisenbaker Builder Services.  After passing the LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) exam for New Construction in the spring of 2009, she has added LEED AP (Accredited Professional) to her list of credentials and continues to pursue green building initiatives both as a member of the USGBC (United States Green Building Council) Colorado Chapter and through additional firm projects, including new construction and remodels alike.
